Starting the new year with a significant update, we’re excited to introduce the Inoreader browser extension 6.0, designed to elevate your online reading and content management experience.

This update brings powerful enhancements and brand-new features, making it easier than ever to save, organize, and share content without leaving your browser tab.

Here’s what’s new:

Read later functionalities

  • Save to Read later: Collect web pages in Inoreader with a convenient button on the extension’s main screen. Tag content as you save it to stay organized from the start.
  • Social media posts: Save LinkedIn and X posts as web pages directly in Inoreader, ensuring you don’t lose valuable insights from your social listening efforts.
Save web pages to Read later and add tags directly with the updated browser extension.
  • Annotate texts: Mark and annotate content in your browser while reading, then easily access your annotations and notes in Inoreader.
  • Contextual menu: Save web pages with just two clicks: right-click on any page or link in your browser and select Save to Inoreader.
Select, right-click, and choose Annotate selection in Inoreader to save with notes.

Account monitoring

Stay on top of your account activity without switching tabs. The extension allows you to view recent updates across feeds, tags, Team folders, and channels while you browse. Customize your popup to show what you need by tweaking the view preferences to match your workflow.

The updated preferences let you set the action for the extension icon click.

Content sharing and automation

Collaboration just got easier for Team members! Share articles or posts directly to Team channels, simplifying content distribution and saving valuable time. For an even smoother workflow, use Inoreader’s automation features to set up rules that trigger specific actions whenever you save a web page – streamlining your content curation process.

Send articles to Team channels and add comments directly through the updated extension.

Enhanced core functionalities

  • Feed discovery: Quickly detect, preview, and follow RSS feeds while browsing.
  • Unread counter: Stay informed at a glance with an intuitive unread articles counter.
  • Customizable preferences: Choose a theme, set default actions for icon clicks, and personalize the extension to fit your needs.
Enjoy a clean preview of detected RSS feeds and follow them with just one click.
